Importance of the Agadir Crisis

The Agadir crisis seemed like it wouldn’t be a huge issue after it had been resolved, but in actuality, it turned out to be a huge factor prior to World War I. After the crisis, Britain had allied with France and the two became closer and closer. It led to a deepened sense of divisions throughout Europe as large nations began to align with each other. This greatly heightened tensions between the major powers of Europe, and led to a heightened sense of fear that War was definitely coming among many European countries.
